We remain free of the Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus (PEDv) at this time and have put in place rigorous biosecurity procedures to prevent the onset of the PED virus on our farm. Effective immediately all guest are required to visit the farm by appointment only. We ask that you arrive in clean / disinfected clothes and vehicles having not come directly from another farm or pig sale. By practicing stick biosecurity our guest can further prevent the transfer of PEDv from one herd to another. Our goal is to provide a healthy winning show project and that can only be achieved by partnering with our show teams in following rigid biosecurity procedures. Please use the below link to further educate yourself on PEDv.

A Family Owned and Operated Swine operation in southwest Ohio specializing in the production of Duroc and Cross Bred show stock.
George Show Pigs is a three generation swine operation that continues today as a proven show stock supplier. Prior to 2001 our farm operated under the banner of George Duroc Farms. Our history is rich in the production of winning Duroc and Cross Bred show stock. Our mission is to provide competitive show stock from a foundation of farm raised females. We left the swine show industry briefly in 2001 to pursue other opportunities. In 2007 we reestablished the show program as part of our own 4-H needs producing barrows for our children. The kids have been blessed with winning barrows and gilts. Only through the re-establishment of reliable genetics with a history of winning pedigrees is it possible to offer a unique set of show stock with the genetic phenotype to excel in the show ring.
As the herd has grown we have reached out and offered our show stock to the youth in neighboring states. The feedback from the show ring has been exciting. Today we open our barn every April to youth looking for barrows and gilts farrowed in February and March. We also offer a select group of barrows and gilts in the fall for the southwest.
